Less than two hours drive north of Greater Toronto, Parry Sound is a popular getaway region offering plenty of outdoor activities. Even underwater the region has its its own remarkable assets. The local waters are a small graveyard of sunken ships, creating ideal scuba diving opportunities. Also popular is the Festival of the Sound, a series of classical voice and instrumental concerts, which occurs at the end of July.
